The Outpost Bar & Grill is a family-friendly bar with a focus on patriotism. Curtis is a veteran and has a deep respect for the men and women who serve their country. The Outpost is one of the most patriotic bars in Iowa. Even the outside is painted red, white and blue.

The Outpost Bar and Grill is a three-time champion in Greater Burlington Restaurant Week. They won Best Value in 2017, the Best Service in 2018 and in 2019 they were crowned the Shottenkirk Superstore Super Restaurant for getting the most overall votes.
